Romería de San Roque

Torrox turns out for its patron saint San Roque with a romería: a procession of riders, decorated carts and walkers leaving the pueblo for a day in the countryside, followed by a shared meal and music once everyone settles at the campsite.

The exact 2026 date hadn’t been published at the time of writing — San Roque’s feast day falls on 16 August, and the source only confirms the 2025 romería took place on 31 August, so check nearer the time.
