Romería de la Virgen de Flores

Álora’s biggest day of the year in honour of its patron, the Virgen de Flores. A procession of decorated ox-carts, riders on horseback and pilgrims on foot sets out from the Convento de Flores and makes its way back to the Iglesia de la Encarnación in town, with music, food and drink along the route.

It’s a family day out as much as a religious one — expect the whole town, and plenty of visitors, out for it.
