MVVEL traces the history of Vélez-Málaga and the wider Axarquía comarca from prehistoric settlement through to the present, with archaeological finds and displays on the town’s Roman, Moorish and Christian periods. It’s a solid primer for anyone exploring the old town’s monuments afterwards.
Entry is free, and the museum is open most days of the week.
