Gran Espetada (Free Sardine Grilling)

Sardines are skewered on cane spits and grilled over open wood embers on the breakwater at the fishing port, in the style that’s been done on this coast for generations. Anyone passing can try a plate for nothing.
It’s part of the town hall’s summer cultural programme, run alongside the port’s fishing community rather than as a ticketed show — turn up and follow the smoke.
